Airport lounges are great perks for frequent travelers, and one of the world’s best lounges is the Turkish Airlines Lounge in the departure hall of Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport. After a recent expansion, it now spans two floors and can host 1000 guests at the same time.
Spending the time before your flight is no problems, and even a long layover suddenly doesn’t seem daunting anymore. Among the perks: multiple restaurants serving the best in Turkish cuisine, a tea garden and a simit cart, serving the traditional Turkish sesame seed bagel.
To waste time, head over to the movie theater (complete with popcorn machine!) or perfect your drive at the golf simulator. There are showers and resting rooms, and you can book massages from the spa team.
If your ticket doesn’t give you lounge access; sweat not. You can buy lounge access if you travel on a Turkish Airlines flight for just 50 TL (approx 14,50€/16$) It’s worth it!
