The Drake Hotel Toronto checks all the boxes on our imaginary boutique hotel-wish list. It’s situated in the vibrant Toronto neighborhood of West Queen West, surrounded by cool shops, exciting restaurants and cozy cafes. West Queen West is also home to the largest concentration of art galleries in Toronto, and that has a big impact on The Drake Hotel.
With its rooftop bar ‘Sky Yard’ and lauded restaurant and cafe as well as the club ‘Underground’, The Drake attracts locals and out-of-towners alike. In fact, their kitchen got so popular that The Drake opened up its first outpost, the restaurant Drake One Fifty, in Toronto’s Financial District, recently.
If you’re staying for the night, you get to choose between the Crash Pads, Dens, Salons and the Suite. Each room type (they vary in sizes) comes with cool vintage-inspired furniture, glass showers, original artwork and hardwood floors. Wi-fi is of course included and really fast, and we love the Malin+Goetz amenities in the bathroom.
