Regular guided city tours always remind of us school trips – and not in a good way. A guide leading way, holding up a sign or an umbrella, rushing past the biggest sights of a city while reciting an endless list of facts and old jokes.
Luckily, a new crop of guided tours has emerged lately, with interesting topics, enthusiastic guides and fresh insights. One of them is a collaboration of the hipster haven Ace Hotel London Shoreditch and hyped bike brand tokyobike. Together, they'll start their monthly adventure this Saturday. We can't be there sadly, but if you happen to be in London over the Easter weekend, by all means, go!
The tour starts at 10am sharp in the lobby of Ace Hotel with a cup of coffee from Bulldog Edition and then takes the participants over to the tokyobike shop, where they'll be provided with bikes and helmets. Led by writer and brand consultant Duncan Riches, the tour will take the riders to the hotspots of East London. After roughly three hours, everyone will be heading back to the hotel for a fresh juice.
The best part of this event? It's completely free and open to the public – you don't have to stay at the Ace Hotel to join!
