Paper Maché Tiger Shop

Blue jeans, green plants and black coffee in London’s Islington

In November of last year, the communication and fashion sales agency Paper Mache Tiger opened their first-ever retail space in the heart of London’s Islington, one of city’s most vibrant, upscale boroughs.

Nestled in what was originally a pencil factory in the area’s up-and-coming Cross Street, Paper Mache Tiger’s vision was to create a unique, multi-brand retail experience that showcases the work of the agency’s bespoke brands, along with a selection of carefully curated products and objects that echo their creative point-of-view.

Japanese stationary, denim, and curated homewares are showcased amongst plants provided by London-based Conservatory Archives – all housed under a stunning glass roof that fills the retail area with natural daylight. The shop’s lush atmosphere compliments the unique array of clothing and products from creative brands such as Marimekko and Herculie.

Paper Mache Tiger’s offices are located in the same space, cleverly separated by movable walls that allow them to double the shop’s floor space for special events and by season.

The shop’s entry space also serves as an informal cafe where baristas serve Assembly Coffee to shoppers wanting to take a break and admire Paper Mache Tiger’s unique, playful retail space.
