The online retailer goes brick-and-mortar for the first time in Los Angeles.
Nasty Gal Melrose
One of our favorite online stores, Nasty Gal, is going brick-and-mortar. Founded by Sophia Amoruso in 2006, Nasty Gal started out as a small online vintage clothes retailer and has since developed into a fashion powerhouse. Much of the credit for that goes to Amoruso, who recently published a book about her experience of running a successful fashion company called ‘#Girlboss’.
The 2.500-square-foot store, located in Melrose, boasts sleek, white interior. Taking center stage are the dressing rooms with four-way mirrors, opaque from the outside but see-through from inside of them. A corner of the shop will carry tech gadgets, magazines and books, and the back building will eventually become a shoe salon.
