The 12hrs team travels a lot – and with that comes the quest for the right luggage. Our latest find and favorite is a backpack by German brand pinqponq.

Produced in Vietnam using recycled materials and designed in Germany, their BLOK backpacks are our go-to carry-on solution. They are big enough for a long weekend trips and still fit in easily into the overhead compartments of planes.

For all their products, pinqponq uses fabrics made out of recycled PET bottles that are water repellant and feel great to the touch. They are also a partner of bluesign, a textile production standard that makes sure harmful substances are eliminated right from the beginning of the manufacturing process.

BLOK opens in three different ways, making packing and finding your things really easy. There’s a drawstring on top, plus openings on the front of the bag and on its side. Some other features we love: the many different compartments for laptops, tablets, magazines, and even keys. The opening at the bottom of the bag designed to hold all your chargers and cables. And the handles on the side of the bag that transform the backpack into a slick duffel bag.

The BLOK backpack is available in three colors, Minimal Black, Astral Blue, and Vivid Monchrome, a nice grey that you can see in our pictures in this post. You can buy it on the brand’s website here. And while you’re there, make sure to check out pinqponq’s other great bags here.
